Site Operator; Augmentative Aids

After searching the site operator on google I have found an article explaining a new technology used for mentally handicapped people called augmentative (or alternative) aids. This machine helps the students speak as if it reads their thoughts (in a way). These devices have a synthesized or digitized voice and are used by people who are unable to speak and articulate language verbally. Combined with computer technology, the device becomes a keyboard emulator for computer and Internet access. Experts agree making one's own choices builds assertiveness and self-esteem.
